Mallee Root Hardwood Charcoal 18-19kg
Mallee Charcoal 19kg
Australian Mallee is found in the southern parts and is from the eucalypt family of trees. Well sort after by purist barbecurers looking for strong and long burning heat.
Our Mallee is bagged with larger lumps and pieces but the root and clumps can be brittle and easily broken to smaller peices and fines. Average size of clumps are smaller fist sized, but you'll also find some branch and some root.
Mallee can spark and will leave white ash residue but is comparable to the best Australian hardwood charcoal on the market.
Larger pieces in our bags are best for low and slow smokers or for spit roasting barbecues. Larger clumps can burn extremly hot and long, but plenty of smaller pieces for grillers as well in the bag.
Bags vary in weight due to the bigger peices used and can vary. No liners in bags as yet, so there is a tendancy for dust and fines to be on the surface so be prepared to get a little dirty when getting a bag.
