Small batch. Handcrafted. This sea salt infusion starts with all-natural and unrefined sea salt and brewed with 49th Parallel Coffee's Old School espresso beans. We add extra Old School espresso grounds to the finished infusion for a delicious aroma.
49th Parallel's Old School Espresso is roasted "Pacific Northwest Style" in the medium/dark range to highlight the sweetness and body of the coffee. This roast has a dark chocolate aroma with round flavours of cocoa, caramel and molasses. It adds a full bodied flavour to Vancouver Island Salt Co's unrefined sea salt, giving you a great finishing salt you'll love.
Great as finishing salt on steaks, chops, wild game and other grilled meats, this medium roast espresso sea salt is fantastic on root vegetables and on rich stews. Use it lightly sprinkled as a topping for coffee ice cream, dark chocolate brownies, espresso orange butter cookies or any chocolate desserts!
